Reacties op de DONAC

De wedstrijd ligt nu ruim een week achter ons en is zeer geslaagd te noemen! We hebben een aantal heel positieve reakties ontvangen die ik jullie niet wil onthouden. De eerste drie zijn van deelnemers, de laatste van een familielid van één van de omwonenden die een aerobatic vlucht was aangeboden.
Je kan hier, als je als VINK lid bent ingelogd, ook zelf reakties achterlaten. Voor niet-leden is het mogelijk het contact formulier te gebruiken om een reaktie in te sturen.

]I would like to thank you for all the efforts you did in organizing the nice contest in Lelystad. It has been a very nice experience and i am already looking forward to the DONAC 2010.
It was my first time attending to such a contest and I have enjoyed every minute of the weekend. Besides learning a lot about aerobatics, it is really nice to spend some time between other pilots sharing the same passion.

Hello All,

Well it’s Monday morning and the DONAC competition is over.
Of course the fact that I took home the prize for the Yak 52 was a forgone conclusion.

A quick rundown of the sequences: The weather was crap, wind gusting 29 knots 60 degrees out. The Known, which I had practiced and was quite comfortable with went wrong when I unhitched myself. I wasn’t ratcheted in as far as I could have been. This meant a break and so lots of points
down the drain. The Free, which I had planned to practice but was unable to, went very well, one min point was I had to flatten out a 45 inverted dive with 2of 4 roll because otherwise I would have gotten too low, so that cost me points. The unknown was designed to get you confused and
was a mind breaker with 4 cross box manoeuvres in it. So the design criteria were met by me turning the wrong way and exiting the box instead of going up it, so another break and lots of wasted points. I hope I have used the correct term: a snap roll on the top part of a loop i.e my avalanche looked exactly like that, a pile of shit coming down a
mountainside. First time I tried that particular manoeuvre so what could I expect.

On a personal note: I really enjoyed participating and have learnt a lot. It was in many ways a reality check that there is no substitute for good instruction, coaching and practice. And you need all three together. I will continue to improve and raise my level but to be honest
as well with about 40 hours total time on the yak of which around 12 has been flying aerobatics I am not unhappy with the way it went. I look forward to more. Thanks to all who were involved in organizing and facilitating the event and those who reacted positively to my endeavours
in this very demanding but rewarding, and for me, new aviation discipline.

Nogmaals bedankt voor de schitterende organisatie en de hartelijke ontvangst dit weekend!
We hebben er met z'n allen dik van genoten, en hopen in de toekomst ook eens iets terug te kunnen doen!

Dag Peter,

Ik wil je nogmaals bedanken dat ik met je mee mocht vliegen! En als ik erover
vertel gelooft niemand me dat ik echt zelf even mocht vliegen, maar het was toch
echt waar! Geweldig, heel erg bedankt!
Mijn vader heeft foto's gemaakt, zijn compilatie stuur ik nu als bijlage mee.

Ik heb nog weer even op jullie website gekeken, maar ik kan de uitslagen nog
niet vinden, worden die er niet opgezet? Ik ben wel benieuwd hoe het  met de
wedstrijden is afgelopen. Jouw laatste vlucht leek wel een groet, zo dicht bij
de boerderij! Ik heb het allemaal gezien. Na zo'n vliegtocht is het nog leuker
om te kijken, want ik merkte dat ik er nu met een ander gevoel naar keek. Een
idee te hebben wat je nou daar boven in de lucht meemaakt en allemaal aan het
doen bent. Een idee hoor... meer niet..
Ik weet nu al wat mijn antwoord zou zijn als er nog eens zo'n uitnodiging
voorbij zou komen... hebben jullie geen gastenboek waar ik iets in kan schrijven?

's Avonds was ik best moe, van het vliegen maar ook van de indrukken. Ik heb de
dvd van mijn schoonzusje mee, zij heeft de vorige keer in de rode dubbeldekker
gevlogen, met Jeroen. Volgens mij hetzelfde toestel als die van jou en ook
dezelfde die voorop op het openingsblad van de website staat als je het
evenement van 4-5-6 september aanklikt. Mooie foto.

Veel succes met vliegen, verder vliegen in je leven! En toch ook af en toe even
landen...

Thank you for the very nice competition in Lelystad. It was very interressant, fair-play and "sympathique" and I was happy to participate.
I will come back next year ... with the little slingsby ... but, please, don't reserve so much wind !
